A Lively Stay at Proper Hotel Santa Monica: Where Style Meets Energy

After a serene and luxurious stay at The Resort at Pelican Hill, I continued my journey up the coast to Santa Monica and checked into Proper Hotel Santa Monica for a vibrant three-night stay. Immediately, I could tell this hotel was something completely different from my previous stops. One of the highlights of Proper is its rooftop bar and restaurant, which was buzzing every evening. The views over Santa Monica are incredible, and the vibe is lively yet relaxed – the perfect place for sunset drinks or a night out without leaving the hotel. The food was top-notch (I’d recommend the scallops), and the cocktails were some of the best I’ve had in the area. You could easily spend an entire evening up there, soaking in the atmosphere.

The gym at Proper is also worth mentioning. It’s easily one of the best hotel gyms I’ve experienced, with top-of-the-line equipment and plenty of space, which is a rarity in many city hotels. For those looking to keep up with their fitness routine, this place is perfect. I loved the balance Proper struck between being a place to relax and recharge and a spot to be social and active.
