The Mod Projects: Upgrades for your Apple Watch
Today I want to take a side step from Micro Watch brands, instead touch upon a watch accessory company that crept onto my radar, The Mod Projects. I love the name, the concept, and anything that augments an Apple Watch, which I find to be the most boring of all watches to look at aesthetically gets the thumbs up from me. But first a little background.
Little Background
Founded in 2020, The Mod Projects are a global company based in Paris specialised in the creation and sale of modifications for Apple Watch. Although I'm not an Apple Watch owner, this is something that could certainly convince me to switch to the digital side.
The Mod Projects we have their own in-house design labs and production facilities, which could be code for making everything out of one's shed or attic. Which I'm not necessarily against per say. Although they state they have warehouses strategically located around the world, we aim to facilitate global shipping and ensure prompt delivery of our goods to our valued customers.
They have a strong presence on various social media platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest, and have forged ahead as a leader in the Apple Watch customisation and accessory sales community.
Not the only game in town
Doing watch customization is not something new. In fact I've already covered upgrading your case cover in two previous articles. You can read my break down on that viral Making your own Rolex video here, and upgrading that G-Shock article earlier this year. I'm also looking into a brand called Sandmarc that looks slightly more accomplished in this field and with better reviews.
Feedback on Reddit
They look nice but kinda pricy and the add popped up on Instagram so sometimes I get a little cautious when that happens. I do like the titanium strap and the RLX Jubilee.
Editor's Pick
I'd love to do a user review for my blog, should anyone from Mod Projects be reading this please get in touch via my Contact page. In particular the NAUTILUS - Titanium Strap with the OCEANIS - Apple Watch Mod Case. To me it expresses class, luxury and wealth like as it does. The titanium alloy's rich finishes give it a vibrant shine and make your Apple Watch look as if it were worth thousands. The exclusive Oceanis Case made in a limited series is crafted from the most durable stainless steel alloy and designed for maximum comfort and flexibility on your wrist.
