Man for Himself launches ANFORH | New Texture Volume Spray
No matter what the New Scientist says, I'm here to tell you that hair products don't make you go bald. Just take my good friend Robin from Man For Himself, he's been running all kinds of products, foams, pomades, liquids (not bodily) through his hair for the past ten years, and his hair will withstand any wind-tunnel or strong crosswind on-a-beach-stroll test. (See video on Website).
When Robin announced he was launching ANFORH (derived from his YouTube channel mANFORHimself) I was delighted. Well semi-delighted, because I was actually on the cusp of releasing my own solo album with a working title ARLTHO, but will have to put that on the back burner.
But enough about me, let me tell you about what I think of ANFORH and its debut product, a Texture Volume Spray known as TVS.
This product I'm happy to say is the business. Because if it was sub-par I would have to talk around the product and mention how good the atomiser is, or how I admired the branding and choice of font for the logo and packaging. But the product stands on its own two feet and certainly gave my hair some much needed texture. (For the record the atomiser is right on the money and dispenses evenly given a couple of pumps. The font is also crisp, and easy on the eye).
Notably, the description describes this product '[...] has been specifically designed for people with fine, soft and straight hair. This is not a product for everyone and I’m happy and confident to say that.'
My hair has volume in spades, but because of its coarse/curly nature, I always have to compromise on the texture side. As mentioned in the blog, DevaCurl, it's important to keep in mind that hair texture does not determine your density, or how much hair you actually have. The article recommends a good volumiser for a way to enhance texture and I'm pleased to say that Robin has nailed the landing on this one.
It's also great for a travel product because it's 100ml, easy to carry and easy to use on the go. ANFORH Texture Volume Spray (TVS) can be used as a pre-styling spray (with or without a hair dryer) or as a styling product by itself. There is a nice hint of bergamot and woody spice in the scent so it layers well with almost any fragrance that I want to sport that day. All this for just £24.
Congrats Robin, the ANFORH TVS is a hit! My hair feels fantastic and having launched products myself, I know how much time and effort it must have taken you to get this off the ground. I can't wait to see what comes next, maybe you could introduced your next product with the tagline, ANFORH my next trick.. (I'll show myself out).
