Women: Press this Button | It Will tell you all You need to Know About Him

Women, your guy has a button on his phone that will tell you everything you need to know about him. Yes one single button and I dare you to ask him, to unlock his phone, open his instagram app and press THIS button.

There used to be a sweet innocent time in my life when the only thing I'd need to be mindful of as a prepubescent teenager was whether mother would ever find my adult magazines under my mattress. Then we moved into the world of digital where cookies and search history became a thing. 

But now there is a button on your phone that could land you in more schtuck than if you forgot your wives anniversary, or just thought a slap up meal deal at Wetherspoons would cut it for a Valentine's Day gift, or caught leaving the house of your sister-in-law with a pep in your step and your flies undone. 

What is the button? 

I am of course talking about the search feature in your Instagram App. 

The magnifying glass at the bottom of your profile (next to the home) that will bring up all relevant profiles that Instagram will think you will like based on your 'like' and search history.

It's called the Instagram Explore Feed and it's a ticking time bomb on your phone. I don't have any science to back this up, but I guarantee you that his professional page will be clean as a whistle. It will probably be an endless array of boring photos of Daniel Craig or Black and Decker Cordless Drills. 

I bet his Pet Profile that he has set up for the dog or the cat, is also clean. Press that button and Instagram will just fire back cute videos of cats petting cockatiels on the head and giving it a hug. 

But there will be another profile. Instagram allows you to have up to 5 accounts on your profile. Maybe it's a side business, or a parody account that he only uses to look up scantily clad ladies. Either way, just press that button and voila, all will be revealed. 

Clear the algorithm 

Personally guys, if this topic becomes a trend and your old lady wants to prove to her friends that you're clean as a whistle, then you'll need to clear your searches. Please God do this before you get shamed. I found an article online that walks you through how to clear your Instagram Explore Feed. 

Sidebar 1 - Is Instagram Slowing Down? 

Aside from those incriminating algorithms, I wanted to share some research on whether Instagram is slowing down or not. I wanted to know have people gone off Instagram? Here is a mini clip I pulled from an article on HubSpot that was published in JAN 2023. 

It recently surpassed two billion monthly active users, joining an elite club with Facebook and WhatsApp. It continues to climb year-over-year, expecting to reach 1.44 billion users by 2025.

Sidebar 2 - How does the algorithms compare between Tik Tok and Instagram? 

I don't do TikTok, simply because I feel I'm too late to the game. But I was curious how the algorithms are different and here is an example I pulled off an article by Grin.Co.

Instagram’s algorithms favour the user’s historical activity. For example, if a person prefers images with certain themes, subjects, hashtags, etc., then Instagram will show more of that same type of content in the person’s Feed and Explore pages. 

By contrast, TikTok recommends content it thinks a person would like one video at a time. People can toggle between Following and For You. 

Sidebar 3 - What's Next for Instagram? 

Just doing a little bit more research on what is next for Instagram, I found an article on Instagram Trends for 2023 on Influencer Marketing Hub. I don't do any Instagram live videos but I should really get into them soon. Here is what they say:
