War Paint for Men Launch NEW Skincare Range
It felt like only yesterday I was singing about War Paint, you can find that review I did last year chronicling my fine lines and dark circles on my blog. One year later and War Paint is back with a new skincare range for men. But first a little refresher course on what is War Paint?
Originally conceived as concealer for men, borne out of a personal experience for the brand's founder Danny who developed a form of body dysmorphia, causing him to obsess about the way he looked to minute detail. We've all borrowed our sister’s concealer, eyeliner and Take That calendars before haven't we? Well, War Paint released a range of make-up, targeted for men. Now we have the new War Paint Skin care range.
WHY NOW? Skincare can be really confusing. I was going to list all the active ingredients involved with the products but really, who knows what they mean. I can't even pronounce half of them. Most people don’t have time to be learning about what different ingredients do, and all the jargon makes it impossible to understand. But War Paint has made it super simple with minimal fuss. No jargon, and you can take that to the bank.
They've worked with an expert lab in South Korea (the home of great skincare, and the one not dictated to by a despot regime) to craft great formulas that will change how your skin looks and feels. The results? Healthy skin at any age
What's included in the range?
Moisturiser
A lightweight daily moisturiser to help optimise hydration and leave skin feeling smooth. Their blend of antioxidants help support skin health and leave skin refreshed, never greasy. Thoughts: applies well, nourished my skin and felt enlivened.
Eye Cream
A light eye cream that helps to defend against dark circles, smooth fine lines and deliver deep hydration. The cooling metal roller-ball applicator massages and energises tired eyes. Thoughts: boy do I need these with my new love for late night online poker. Though don't tell Tuula, she thinks I'm up putting together new Media Decks. This cream is the ultimate tonic for night owls with better halves.
Night Serum
An advanced multi-tasking serum that works while you sleep to help revitalise, smooth and hydrate. It’s quickly absorbed by thirsty skin to target signs of ageing and uneven tone to reveal healthier-looking skin when you wake up. Thoughts: my skin felt fresh and even in the morning and ready to go.
Final thoughts
I love the idea that War Paint for Men has kept it simple with three great products that can easily dovetail into the rest of their product range. The price is very accessible, the products look great and they are rich and invigorating for the skin. Win win.
