Going STRONG Bremont release The H1 Generation
Bremont dropped me a line to announce they have launched 3 new watches, announced last night at the event in Tower of London. (Guess my invite is lost between the seats of the mail van). No to worry, Bremont is one brand I don't mind creating some free awareness for. After all their journey as a brand has been a remarkable odyssey and one that has advanced British watchmaking considerably over the past 20 years. Now Bremont has launched it's first series core collection (The H1 Generation) to house the ENG300 Series, a Bremont manufactured movement tested to Bremont’s own H1 Timing Standard.
We have the Fury, Supernova and Audley, a series of 40mm core range timepieces available in seven styles across the three models, each reflecting a new generation of manufacturing and engineering at Bremont. But which one would be your pick? I've not had the good fortune to experience these timepieces up close, but they all display the typical craftsmanship and indefatigable allure that are synonymous with Bremont.
Supernova
The Supernova is Bremont’s first integrated bracelet design crafted by Bremont’s in-house engineers. A masterpiece in design and engineering, this 40mm stainless steel timepiece is powered by the Bremont manufactured ENG375 movement. As with all Bremont watches, durability has been a key consideration and as such the Supernova features a hardened top bezel, anti-shock technology and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. A beautiful looking watch, it has some deft simplicity at first glance and some incalculable intricacies on closer inspection. This one falls into second place for me.
Fury
Celebrating Co-Founders Nick and Giles’ passion for planes, flying and aeronautical engineering, the Fury is a contemporary take on a classic pilot’s watch. Housing the high performance Bremont manufactured ENG365 calibre movement, the Fury is a 40mm timepiece with a polished stainless steel Trip-Tick® case construction which has been made at The Wing in Henley. My personal favourite and what I like to call the editor's pick. The sub-dial at the 6 is more prominent which I like and the second dial is inset and from the tenths and I gravitate to that for some reason.
Audley
Last but by no means least the Audley. Named after Bremont's first flagship Boutique in Mayfair, the Audley is the epitome of sophistication. A classic dress watch with contemporary design cues, it features a 40mm polished stainless steel or 18 ct Rose Gold Trip-Tick® case and Bremont manufactured ENG365 movement with 65 hour power reserve. The simplicity of its design making it one of the most elegant watches within the Bremont collection. It's sleek, it oozes glamour, but lacks the adventure of both the Supernova and the Fury.
Quick mention for the ambassador
As a long standing friend of the brand, Bremont is proud to announce renowned British actor Mark Strong as a new Brand Ambassador. Strong is recognised for roles in multiple blockbuster films such as Sherlock Holmes, RocknRolla, Robin Hood, Kick-Ass and most notably for Bremont, in the Kingsman series. Mark’s passion for his craft and his impeccable style make him the perfect fit for the new Bremont Supernova.
