Natucain Shampoo & Conditioner: is it worth it?
Today I'd like to talk to you about a brand called Natucain. A 100% hormone free, naturally derived hair growth solution powered by their patented ingredient MKMS24. Sounds like an early arthouse movie by George Lucas right? Well that was science fiction my pedigree chums, this is science fact!
But why do we need MKMS24 and what is so special about this ingredient? The best explanation plus all the science can be found over at the Natucain website. I've abbreviated some of the informations into two paragraphs below.
"MKMS24 is a natural molecule derived from lentils, thyme and bamboo. These ingredients directly stimulate hair growth by targeting the root. MKMS24 is an active ingredient that inhibits the production of an enzyme called 5α-Reductase (5alpha-Reductase). This enzyme prevents the synthesis of a hormone called dihydrotestosterone (DHT) which is one of the most common causes of alopecia. 5α-Reductase can reduce the circulation levels of DHT by up to 98%.
The hair follicle cycle goes through three stages (anagen, catagen and telogen) on a 3-5 year time period. Hair loss often begins with the miniaturisation of hair follicles by making them thinner over time. The cycle starts with the anagen phase, the first and longest phase. Afterwards, during the catagen phase, the hair follicles shrink and detach from the blood supply in the scalp - going into a nearly dormant state. Finally during the telogen phase the hair grows, the hair follicles loosen the hair strand and the hair falls out. MKMS24 prolongs the duration of both the anagen and the telogen phase- thus permitting the hair to grow thicker and longer."
Shampoo & Conditioner Review
But Carl, you're not losing your hair? In fact you have quite a lustrous head of hair compared to most men of your age! (I hear you cry down your screens). Well true, I'm lucky, got some good genes and my hair whilst course and irksome at times, is still in need of support. The Natucain Shampoo & Conditioner contains the aforementioned MKMS24 compound and are free from silicone and sulphates which make it easier for the scalp to absorb the ingredients for strong, healthy hair.
What about the Caffeine?
Is it a myth or does drinking ten cups of coffee a day make your hair grow? If that were the case I'd be a dead ringer for Teenwolf about now, only slightly shorter double the age, with zero dunking skills.
Anyway, it's true, Caffeine supports the skin microcirculation which is essential for healthy hair follicles (as described in the anagen, catagen and telogen stages). It also boasts a positive production of protein and keratin which bolsters the follicles further.
Review and thoughts
It lathers up well and the feel is rich and reassuring. The bottles look wonderful and I have a thing for the colour green when a product boasts about science and natural ingredients. My hair felt nourished, my scalp felt hydrated and I’ll be a repeat customer. I'm a fan, I recommend it.
