BLISS SKINCARE PRODUCTS: FOR HER? MAYBE, BUT IGNORANCE IS BLISS

BLISS SKINCARE PRODUCTS: FOR HER? MAYBE, BUT IGNORANCE IS BLISS

Today I'm talking about some Bliss Skincare products I was kindly sent on for review. Although, at first glance, I half wondered if they meant these for Tuula. The packaging and indeed the website looks fundamentally catered to the female demographic. And yes, there is a keen difference between men and women’s skin. Men have thicker skin because they're prone to getting into more bar fights and their cheekbones and jaw need more protection. It's just good science, hand of God, Google it.

Bliss is a multi-channel spa and retail product company headquartered in Downtown New York. On their website I couldn't find any local spas and the only stockists present are Boots here in the UK. The company retails its own line of bath, body and skincare products through its Bliss catalogue, website, Bliss spa stores and at international retailers (the aforementioned Boots).

So the packaging is bold. It's more catered to the 20 something me poolside in Ibiza. But there is nothing fundamentally wrong with it, but it's too young, too 'package-holiday' for me and my shelf. Yes I know, I'm not one for an abundance of colour. Too disruptive and tricky to coordinate. That said..

Luckily, the products are steadfastly better than the techni-coloured bottles and tubs might suggest. The brand core is sustainability - for the skin and body. All Bliss products are thoughtfully formulated to be safe and free from over 1,300 harmful substances you don't want on your skin or body.

This is a brand for the soothsayers that tell me never to judge a Collagen Protecting Serum by its packaging. I've been pleasantly surprised at the richness of the serum and the impact it's had diminishing some skin imbalances.

The Cream to Water Hydrator has been a handy go-to for keeping my grill fresh between shoots. Yes I'm back on the street again doing hauls and videos, it's a living.

The Spa Strength Resurfacing Peel admittedly Tuula nicked that. That might be problematic if you're a guy looking to invest in these products, you'll have to share. Alternatively, this could a win if you want to buy her a gift, you'll get to use as well. But like Homer buying Marge a bowling ball with his name on it.

The Bright and Radiant Whipped Mask gave my skin a softness, and out of all them smelt the best. Yes I nearly ate it, can't be the first to make that mistake. The damn thing has M marshmallow written on the side.

Lastly the Collagen Protecting & Brightening Moisturiser. It's characterised by its citrussy opening and all of a sudden I want to take back everything I said about the packaging. At least you're not being sold under any mis-apprehension that this is ORANGE-Y. It's replete with Vitamin C. You're under no illusion what you see is what you get and just a little goes a long way.
