MURAD Environmental Shield Skincare: Products Reviewed

Dog walkers get more weather beaten. And photographers have one squint-eye that boasts more crow’s feet than the other. Just theories of mine, not backed up by science but makes total sense. 

My latest addition to help my skins defence systems come from MURAD. I was kindly sent on the Brightening Serum and the Dark Circle Corrector from the MURAD Environmental shield skincare range. Last year I spoke about the Retinol range, you can catch that article here. 

Packaging 

Solid, tubular, the pump atomiser dispenses the perfect amount and is a paragon for how atomisers for creams and serums should aspire to. Concise and direct. The triptych cylindrical innards remind me of something Agent Goodspeed might be told to nurture carefully in a nuclear rescue mission by a former Alcatraz escape artist. (Deep pull, good luck with that one). 

Turn on Brighter Skin With Gold-Stabilised Vitamin C

The strongest element to attack your skin is UV light. And pollution. We love Vitamin C because fizzy tablets from the co-op make our water interesting and our urine look like alien-wee. It's also a potent antioxidant that supports healthier-looking skin and can help prevent visible skin damage like hyper-pigmentation, dullness and uneven tone.

I've been road-testing this serum for a couple of weeks. It's the A-lister of serums for me. Applies evenly, tackles full-throated by uneven skin tone (some parts, under my beard) and murderously goes to town on my dulling surface cells to reveal more radiant skin. I've misjudged you Vitamin C. I always thought you were just a pick-me-up. A hydrator for my metabolism. But you're in fact an all-rounder. You can mobilise and regenerate my skin on the surface and all in the aforementioned. I wish the Vita-C Party was running for London Mayor.

It's a bruising scene, those morning after the night before ZOOM calls. I can do this in my shades right? I tell myself, blame it on a burst blood vessel. It simply doesn't cut it. This Vita-C Eyes Dark Circle Corrector delivers enhanced antioxidant defence for brighter, healthier-looking skin.

It's what my eyes have lobbied for, for years. Something to feather the nest. Your eyes are so important. The skin around your eyes is the most translucent skin on your whole body. It deserves to be pampered, nurtured and mine are now emitting new enlivened radiance thanks to a few weeks with this MURAD Dark Circle Corrector.
