THE 2 OBAGI PRODUCTS I’M ADDING TO MY DAILY SKINCARE ROUTINE

In this article I'm going to give you a brief overview of the Obagi brand and then a review of two of the Obagi products that I have added to my daily skincare regime. To quote their presentation video, 'we are the market and we know the market'.

To start my personal research into Obagi, I reached out to a couple of other friends if they had either heard or used Obagi. Amazingly one friend said his girlfriend was recommended to use Obagi by her dermatologist. Obagi was founded in the US and has led transformative research and created skincare products to meet the needs of every skin tone and type since 1988.

Let's take a look at two of the products that I've been sent on. 

Obagi Hydrate Moisturiser

The Obagi Hydrate Moisturiser is a thick liquid, yet thin on application. It somehow manages to deliver that sweet spot between fast application on the skin and rapid absorption, without being oily. You really don't need much, and a single pump works as a good measure. It doesn't have any scent that I could detect, which works for me as I like to leave that to fragrances. 

Overall, my skin felt hydrated throughout the day, firmer and it added a nice glow. It's too soon for me to determine any anti-ageing signs, but I'm impressed with the formula and the thickness of the cream. 

Obagi Daily Hydro-Drops™

The Obagi Daily Hydro-Drops™ is a lightweight, non-comedogenic, hydrating serum that leaves skin feeling smooth and refreshed.

This is an everyday treatment serum for your skin that combines nourishing oils and oxidants, combats anti-ageing and lightens pigmentation. Best to use this before applying the moisturiser above. 

The product comes in a glass bottle with a metallic lid. It looks super feminine which of course Tuula doesn't mind. And that's fine because this Hydro-Drop is for every skin type because it's formulated with different kind of oils.

In brief, you have the Abyssinian oil which is extremely rich in Omega 6 & 9 which helps nourish the skin barrier internally and externally. 

There is also the Hibiscus Oils which is nutrient rich and aids the elasticity of the skin, making it perfect for an anti-ageing. 

I'm very happy to have these included in my daily skin regime as they complement each other, and one replenishes the oil lost on my face and the other maintains the hydration throughout the day.
