When David Beckham puts his name to something, it’s that immediate seal of approval that draws you to it and the new bold spicy fragrance for 2020, Bold Instinct by David Beckham is the latest product in that line-up.

Bold Instinct is the latest 2020 addition to the David Beckham Fragrance range a huge 15 years after introducing his first signature scent called Instinct. This fragrance is an improvement on the previous one, as is the bottle and the campaign imagery of David himself; creating a new era of the David Beckham fragrances. It launches with an inspiring message of choice, encouraging men to always stay true to themselves and make the choices that are right for them, regardless of what others might think.

I love this message as it resonates so much with me in life but also as a guy that reviews fragrances, this comment applies even more so. There are people reviewing fragrances that will say that one is good or bad or average, that ‘this or that’ is wrong with it. But in truth, it is totally personal to you and therefore because one person might dislike or like a fragrance doesn’t mean that you will. Thats why when reviewing fragrances, I try to focus on what notes the fragrances has, the scent and where I can see myself wearing it etc.

If you liked David Beckham Instinct you’ll love David Beckham Bold Instinct. The notes used in both fragrances have similarities which is quite normal in a fragrances evolution…just look at the Jean Paul Gautier range, you’ll find that they all have a similar base smell but with small differences.

Bold Instinct is an EDT (Eau de Toilette) so the longevity will be less than an EDP (Eau de Perfum) for example but the price point reflects this. 30ml is only £19.95 and 75ml a steal at £34.95. When wearing this fragrance, I found the longevity seemed around 4-6 hours, perfect for a night out but you might have to reapply if you’re wearing it throughout the day. A good thing is that the price point reflects a great day fragrance as it is not too expensive.
