INTRODUCING THE NEW DAVID BECKHAM EAU DE PARFUM COLLECTION

Today I'm excited to share the news of the latest extension to the David Beckham portfolio, the David Beckham Collection, a curated line of three long-lasting eau de parfums. Each evocative scent takes you on a unique sensory journey, imagined in a collection which not only reflects David’s own life but celebrates the craft of artisanal perfumery, with a focus on the careful selection of ingredients.

David, together with the Coty fragrance experts and the globally recognised perfumers Ane Ayo, Amandine Clerc-Marie & Alexandra Carlin, pushed the boundaries to create a collection of exceptional scents that elevate the art and craft of fragrance for a truly transportive experience,” says Stefano Curti, Chief Brands Officer Consumer Beauty at Coty. The Fragrances Beckham, together with Coty Fragrance Experts and award-winning perfumers from the house of Firmenich and Symrise, imagined a multi-faceted fusion of contrasting tones that create a compelling and contemporary fragrance experience.

Talking about the Collection, David says: ‘I’ve been fortunate to work with many incredible perfumeries from around the world over the past 15 years and this fragrance combines their knowledge with my vision to create a product that truly stands the test of time. Smell can evoke strong memories & remind us of special people and moments in our life.

With the EDP campaign, I wanted to capture personal memories from my travels with close friends and family. We filmed in Miami and I loved the freedom of driving on the open roads, with the ocean on one side and forests on the other. I am excited about how we have captured this feeling.’

These passions are brought to life in the Collection’s three complementary eau de parfums: Infinite Aqua, Aromatic Greens, and Refined Woods.

Infinite Aqua

My personal favourite from the collection. An aromatic fresh watery fragrance, Infinite Aqua was inspired by a drive along the Pacific Coast highway, the sheer expansiveness of the ocean, and the exhilarating feel of salty sea air on the skin. It lends to a tropical palette with the opening citrusy green notes of lemon and fig blend. I'm immediately on Booking Dot Com looking bargain deals and Cruise holidays across the Med. This delivers on the masculine scale as the fragrance goes through the gears, lavender, Waterlily before hitting the final turn with the woody-mossy base with soft, resinous accents of cedarwood and sandalwood. Love it. Can wear it after the gym like most aquatic scents. 

Aromatic Greens

This woody green fragrance encapsulates the serenity amongst nature’s vibrant beauty. Imagine taking your loved one to that favourite picnic spot you went to as a young lad. I've got one in my head, a field just outside Grafham Water, past the idyllic and campestral fields of Cambridgeshire. I daren't go back, probably a Tescos now. Still you get my point, its a sumptuous cocktail of nostalgia and tranquility. Aromatic Greens opens with a zesty burst of lemon and mint notes twisted with a bittersweet accent of absinthe. The freshness builds into an elegant heart of powdery orris, green violet leaf and crisp apple notes that evoke the greenness of the English countryside.

Refined Woods

Inspired by David’s love of taking to the open road to explore different landscapes, cultures and cuisines. The fragrance begins with a spicy-herbaceous infusion of cardamon and clary sage mixed with a citrusy cedrat note that entices the senses. This is the most complex scent of the three and whilst it doesn't really cross over to black tie, it has the ambition to. Maybe a smart casual, first date or dinner with friends. 

The fragrance is underscored by the spicy-woody warmth of tonka, cedarwood and vetiver aspects, creating a suave masculine experience.

Each fragrance has its own, easily differentiated look thanks to the coloured liquid inside: azure blue for Infinite Aqua; fern green for Aromatic Greens; and pale sand for Refined Woods. A great gifting idea for him, and with very accessible prices.
