AVENLY CBD Skincare for Men | Product Review
Today I'm going to be introducing you to Avenly Skincare products. It's a brand that doesn't rely on one USP but several and I'll get into those shortly. The range is streamlined and consists of Miracle CBD day cream, Miracle CBD eye serum and Miracle CBD night cream.
You can find all the information on the products and even the benefits of CBD oil on the company’s website. Firstly let me get into the things I like about the Avenly range, then I'll finish with a couple of minor issues that I had.
The products are very good in that the creams and the serum have a nice texture, they're rich and can be applied evenly. They don't feel like they're just a cream for creams' sake. They actually do enrich and enliven the areas of my face which need the most work. Eyes, crow’s feet, forehead etc.
The packaging is excellent. It's on brand with the messaging and it does make a change to not have another spree of plastic products festooned across my bathroom. They us bamboo and glass packaging, and produce their vegan creams in England using sustainably sourced ingredients and organic where possible.
To summarise, it's actually a refreshing take on a very popular product. I do believe if you're entering into the men's beauty market you'll need something to distinguish you from the other well-known brands. Having a good product might not be good enough. It will need good marketing, a good ethos and a good USP.
So my only issue with this is the name Miracle. I was about to say I don't know why they called their products 'Miracle', but it's fairly obvious in its intent. I feel it's slightly disingenuous to hijack the name for a product of this nature.
The other issue is that if this is a British brand why are do we have American spellings on the copywriting. Words like 'Moisturizing' and 'Organization'. There are also a few grammatical errors in some of the copywriting that just makes it feel a little amateur.
I know, little things. And if I'm having to critique spelling and the ethos of their taxonomy, then you'll know that there actually little wrong and a lot right with Avenly Skincare.
