Genesis Homme by Kérastase | Product Review
Today I'd like to share some thoughts on the new Genesis Homme by Kérastase. It is the brands first dual action anti-fall haircare for men with weakened hair prone to thinning. The main goal for the product is to reduce hair-fall due to breakage. If you head over to the website you'll catch a neat video by Darren Fowler explaining away the 4 Myths About Hair Fall. Apparently shampoo doesn't make your hair fall out. Hair loss doesn't stem from your Mother's fathers side. Wearing caps doesn't destroy your caps and having your hair cut more often does not make it grow back thicker. (That one is a new one on me).
Thoughts and summary
I was excited when I was initially asked if I would like to sample these products. A good friend of mine who happens to be a barber has waxed lyrical for a long time about the quality of the women’s products. It's like finding a good Sushi restaurant in Singapore, just go where the locals go. In this case, be guided by those in the know. Some of the top hairdressers use Kérastase like Fowler35 near Goodge Street for example.
The products did not disappoint. Each left my hair feeling clarified with some additional volume and texture. As a set I got to appreciate all the benefits from each of the products. (I've left a brief description below to each).
My hair can somedays feel a little lethargic and uninspired. Although I don't suffer from thinning hair, it's sometimes too coarse to have any fun with. These products left them feeling a touch softer meaning they were more susceptible to how I wanted my hair to perform. My hair was considerably more malleable and hydrated. Below are some of the products I used, I would recommend buying these as a set, although I don't think from first glance that they are available as a bundle.
