LINDOS GRAND RESORT & SPA - 5 STAR HOTEL REVIEW
I'm in love with this place. This place being the Lindos Grand Resort & Spa, nestled in the tranquil cove of Vlycha, in the vicinity of the traditional village of Lindos, Greece.
It's possibly one of the most romantic getaway retreats I've ever had the pleasure of being to. With picture-perfect landscape with panoramic sea views, inviting infinity pools in the majority of its rooms and suites and exquisite modern amenities of the highest standards.
Arrival was seamless. Admittedly I grunted at the idea of having to download an APP. I mean the very humanity. But once I got over myself I realised, unlike most apps, this one made our stay frictionless. Called Exclusivi, through the APP you're able to order drinks to your room, book massages within the hotel, connect directly with the staff and even book taxis and restaurants.
We were treated to the Junior suite which came with an incredible view of the sea and port sea view. The junior room is treated to a private swimming pool which extends around the front left and right of the room which are accessed through sliding doors.
The bed and the pillows are something else. Completely enveloped me and was a struggle to part with in the morning. Of course all the modern amenities in the room are catered for. Coffee machine, 43" TV with international channels, etc
The shower was an intense pressure and the temperatures went to unfathomable heights. Again, the bed the shower, the pillows, the views, made this a room to die for. Also the room is replete with sockets and of course the all-important USB sockets for the night stands.
From our suite you have views of the sunrise that are exquisite, the sun sets behind the villa and fires up the sky in a flares of purple and pink. It's also extremely quiet and serene. The rooms are so well insulated you feel like you're the only couple for miles around
The hotel is right next to Vlycha Beach (literally a 2min walk) and a 5min (€9-12) taxi ride to Lindos town/beach. (45mins from Rhodes airport, about €65-75 and about 40mins to Rhodes Town).
Whilst the hotel itself has amazing Asian and Japanese restaurants, we mostly snuck into towns and explored the various bars, and local eateries. Most were tailor made for those balcony instagram shots. Outside of town we found a restaurant that was tucked away in one of the coves (St Pauls Bay) that really put the icing on the cake for Tuula and I. The place was called TAMBAKIO, just search for it on google or instagram and you’ll see why I rave about it so much. It is cute and romantic plus the food is delicious. What an experience. Huge thanks to the kind and personable staff at the Lindos Grand Resort for an unforgettable experience.
