My Investment Pieces | Men's Style & Fashion

Today I'm going to talk about some great investment pieces that I've bought over the years. I'm happy to shout it from the rooftops about these brands as the clothes have been on a journey with me.

WINTER COAT INVESTMENT PIECE

Starting with the Hawkins and Shepherd Overcoat. It has a straight cut, slightly tailored and ideal for this time of year. The texture of cashmere is incredibly soft to the touch.

This 100% cashmere Overcoat is a design collaboration between myself and Savile Row trained woman's designer Calder London using fabric from the mills of Harrisons of Edinburgh.

JUMPER

This chunky ribbed roll neck is from Pretty Green and I've had it for over 2 years now. It's kept its shape and hasn't piled or shrunk in any way. Sadly Pretty Green has pretty slim pickings in the roll neck department these days. Still, their crew collar knits are always worth checking out.

TROUSERS

This is why you'll hear me talk about Reiss until the cows come home. Their stuff just lasts! These are grey wool trousers that are over 4 years old. Almost pre-dating my Instagram account. Shop the Reiss trouser collection here.

SHOES

My brown Oxford Shoes are from Barbour. I've had these a couple of years and I've enjoyed how they've now got a slightly worn in burnished fade around the toe-cap. Pickings are slim now with Barbour shoes. However, the quality is something I'm happy to rhapsodise about.

WATCH

Admittedly this is my Beaverbrooks X Tag Heuer watch that I've written about extensively before. (Catch a full write up on this exclusive limited watch here). One is a reputable watch e-commerce store, the other an equally reputable watch manufacturer so I expect this will be on my wrist for some years to come.

SCARF

I'm not saying everything from ASOS is built to last but I've had this scarf for some time now. It's survived many scrapes and it really breaks the outfit up nicely.
