Trussardi Uomo | Men’s Fragrance Review
I've just got my hands on the Trussardi Uomo and wanted to share my thoughts with you all here. This fragrance was launched in 2011 to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the company.
About Trussardi
Trussardi are an Italian fashion and lifestyle brand that started their empire manufacturing gloves and now they have extended their range into other accessories like scarfs, shoes and of course, fragrances.
The bottle is very sleek. I love the gold trim down the side and the gold plated atomiser with the emblem on the cap. It's not as creative as the ribbed bottle on the Trussardi Riflesso. My friend Pete Brooker actually has some great pictures over on his blog here.
I actually even prefer the original bottle to this. Similar in shape but it was entombed in leather. I had a quick glance on line and couldn't find any resellers. If you can find any then please drop me a comment below.
The fragrance
Expect a woody, aromatic fragrance that is fresh and very mature.
Top notes
Lemon, Bergamot, Nutmeg
Middle notes
Sage, Violet, Geranium
Base notes
Leather, Oat moss and Patchouli
My thoughts
It has a very mature, masculine punch to this fragrance. I love it. I've heard a few people say it's an all season fragrance. I disagree I think it's a bit too punchy for summer. However, I've been wearing this non-stop for the past week and I've had some great compliments. The longevity I got was around 5-6 hours which I'm fine with and the silage is a couple of feet. It projects well, it has a great opening.
Where to wear?
Although I don't believe this to be an all-year round scent, I don't limit this to day or night. I think it has so much quality, so much maturity that you can wear it anywhere.
I would say this is probably too mature for anyone in their 20's. It's not at all sweet so it's not a youthful scent. Age range anywhere from 30-35 and above.
You can find all the Trussardi fragrances on their website.
