Panasonic ER-GD60 3-in-1 Precision Trimmer | Electric Razor Review

Today I'm going to walk you through some of the design features on the new Panasonic I-Shaper ER-GD60 Trimmer, a 3-in-1 styling, trimming, and shaving tool all in one. It features 20 adjustable cutting lengths designed to reach difficult areas for precise styling and edging. Makes it sounds like one of those mop adverts from the 90's right? Gets into all the nooks and crannies. 

A little bit of news from Panasonic

Panasonic Corporation is a worldwide leader in the development of diverse electronics technologies and solutions. It's a name that has been around forever and this year they celebrate 100 years in business. 

How does it handle Carl? 

Panasonic have done a great job with the unique design of the I-Shaper. I never had to wrench the razor unnaturally to find a comfortable position for use, it naturally fit into my hand perfectly with exceptional control. Looks wise, it's different but in a good way, it's design is sleek, slimline and packs away in a handy, compact travel pouch.

What can it do?

This is what they call in the trade; the all-rounder. The ergonomic trimming attachment provides 20 varied cutting lengths between 0.5-10 mm. I quite like the use of alliteration used in the press release so I'll quote direct; 

"The ergonomic i-Shaper design and two innovative attachments will finesse any man's signature style; whether it's a hipster handlebar, slick sideburns or even a chiseled chinstrap."

The Bonus features? 

I like the travel lock feature immensely. It's part of the reason why I don't travel with an electronic toothbrush for fear it will magically turn on and the pilot will be forced to make an emergency landing!

The trimmer has 50 minutes of usage when fully charged. Meaning that's 7-8 trips back and forth to the missus without having to lug the charger. Although you can use the cord if you like. 

Worth the money? 

I'm going to say yes on this one. It only takes an hour to charge fully, similar shavers such as the Remington MB050 Durable Trimmer takes four times that much. It's also usable underwater making it easier to clean in the sink rather than plucking bristles out from its teeth like it's a Christmas turkey.
