Explore St Christopher's Place | London's most buzzing shopping & dining destination

Before I started Hawkins & Shepherd and subsequently writing/blogging full-time, I used to work for a commodities trading house on Portman Street, which is at the Marble Arch end of Oxford Street. It was a buzzing place of businesses, shoppers, tourists and during the Christmas month of December it can get totally hectic. It's why us 'locals' who knew the area extremely well would walk down the less busy Wigmore Street, which is like taking a country road rather than the M25 at 8am on a weekday, and settle down at St Christopher's Place.

St Christopher's Place is an exceptional shopping, dining, drinking and lifestyle destination in the heart of the London's shopping district, just off Oxford Street near Bond Street tube station. Just look out for the unmissable purple clock along Oxford Street and you'll see the narrow entrance that widens out into the main St Christopher's Place square.

One of the main draws to St Christopher's Place is the shopping which feels like a cobbled shopping street in a little village but with some major players in woman's & men's fashion. So if you are after brands such as Diverso, Jigsaw, Elliott Rhodes, Kurt Geiger, L'occitane, Malini, Rituals, T Burrows and Whistles in a more premium location then this is your place.

You can certainly get immersed in the buzzing complex which is St Christopher's Place because it has everything. In between shopping, head over to Ruffians barbers for a beard trim, men's grooming treatment or haircut. Or how about a caffeine fix at one of the many coffee shops in the area. If it is dining or drinking you are after then lunchtime and in the evenings St Christopher's Place comes alive, it's busy and exciting with plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from.
