#WEARITPINK
The 24th of October should be a date circled on everyone's calendar.
The week before Halloween is #WearItPink day by the charity wearitpink.org - it's a day when we all pull together for breast cancer awareness: guys, girls, kids, pets, at home, at work, at school, we can all participate.
Bin your monochrome autumn look for the day, for something a little more colourful; in particular a lot more PINK!
I'm sure all of us at some stage in our lives have experienced a family member, friend or someone close who has lost the battle to cancer. On this day, we can all pull together and raise awareness in the hope that future generations do not have to go through the pain and suffering that many of us have been through.
When I wear pink, I tend to style with greys, tans & browns, which seemed perfect for this warm autumnal afternoon.
Outfit sorted, it was time to catch up with fashion blogger & journalist Sophie Milner from Fashion Slave, who was joining me on my #wearitpink day. First stop; Costa Coffee as we were both feeling a little hungover after attending the Coco & Carter & Grace from TOWIE's launch party the night before at Sugarhut nightclub. As well as wearing pink for the day, we decided (well I can assure you these were Sophie's ideas!!) to buy some pink flowers and make pink cupcakes. My input was to get a few bottles of Rose Pink Wine in to put the appropriate tint on the day and any pastel flashbacks I might have of it later!
